About Frontal

Frontal is building the infrastructure for enterprise intelligence.

We’re creating an AI-native platform that enables enterprises to turn their data, systems, and operations into intelligent software that can understand, reason, decide, and act. Our stack spans AI infrastructure, models, agents, data, evaluation, observability, and the runtime required to operate intelligent systems reliably in production.

We’re a small, engineering-driven team based in Lisbon, working on problems at the intersection of AI, software infrastructure, and enterprise operations.

About the role

As a Product Manager, you’ll own products from problem definition through launch and iteration.

You’ll work directly with the founding team, engineers, designers, and customers to turn complex technical capabilities into products that enterprises can actually use. You’ll be expected to understand the technology deeply enough to make strong product decisions, while maintaining a relentless focus on the user and the business problem.

This is an early-stage product role with significant ownership. You won’t be managing a backlog handed to you by someone else. You’ll help decide what Frontal builds, why it matters, and what we should do next.

What you will do

Own product areas from discovery and definition through development, launch, and iteration.
Identify high-value problems across enterprise AI, data, workflows, and infrastructure.
Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, pain points, and requirements.
Translate complex technical capabilities into simple, intuitive product experiences.
Define product strategy, requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
Work closely with engineers to scope, design, and ship products.
Turn ambiguous problems into clear product specifications and executable plans.
Define user flows, product requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
Work closely with design and engineering on product UX and interaction patterns.
Prototype ideas quickly and validate them before committing significant engineering resources.
Own launches and coordinate everything required to take products from idea to production.
Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Establish and track product metrics that measure adoption, engagement, quality, and business impact.
Continuously prioritize between customer requests, technical investments, new opportunities, and product improvements.
Help build Frontal’s product systems, processes, and culture as the company grows.
Communicate product decisions clearly across the company.

About you

You have strong product judgment and a deep curiosity about technology.
You understand software development and can work effectively with engineers.
You are comfortable discussing APIs, SDKs, infrastructure, AI systems, data, and developer tooling.
You can understand complex technical systems without needing everything simplified for you.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You are highly analytical and comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
You can distinguish between what customers ask for and the underlying problem they actually need solved.
You have strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
You are comfortable owning outcomes rather than simply completing tasks.
You move quickly and prefer shipping, learning, and iterating over excessive planning.
You are highly organized and capable of managing multiple product threads simultaneously.
You are comfortable working directly with customers, engineers, and the founding team.
You have strong product instincts and care deeply about user experience.
You are willing to get into the details, including writing specifications, testing products, analyzing data, and debugging workflows.
You thrive in an early-stage environment where priorities can change quickly and there is little bureaucracy.

Bonus if you

Have experience building AI-native products or developer platforms.
Have worked with LLMs, agents, APIs, SDKs, or data infrastructure.
Have learned technical systems by building, shipping, or working closely with engineers.
Have previously worked at a startup or built a product from zero to one.
Have experience building enterprise software.
Have experience working with developer tools or infrastructure products.
Can prototype with TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.
Have experience with product analytics, experimentation, or growth.
Have worked directly with enterprise customers.
Have contributed to open-source projects or built software independently.
Follow developments in AI and have strong opinions about where the technology is going.

Our process is practical and work-based. We will ask you to reason through an unfamiliar product problem, make tradeoffs, and show how you communicate with others. Curiosity and evidence of craft matter more than university names, titles, or a polished résumé.
