What is Frontal?
Frontal is the context, execution, and control layer for building intelligent software that can understand, decide, and act.

Frontal is infrastructure for building intelligent software in an organization. It connects the facts held across your systems, gives them a shared business model, and provides the runtime and controls needed to turn that context into useful work.
This is not an API that adds a chat window to an existing product. Frontal is the system around intelligence: the layer that decides what a run may know, what it may do, how it executes, and how a team can understand whether it worked.
The problem Frontal solves
Enterprise work rarely lives in one system. A decision about an account can require CRM data, contract terms, invoices, support history, operational state, and a company policy. People assemble that context because they understand the relationships between systems. Software generally does not.
A model alone cannot close that gap. It does not know which records are current, which customer two source systems are describing, which policy applies, or whether it is allowed to send an email, update a record, or trigger a deployment.
Frontal supplies those missing parts.
What developers build with Frontal
Developers use Frontal to create:
- Agents that investigate, decide, and use bounded tools.
- Workflows that execute durable processes across people and systems.
- Context layers that make enterprise data usable and traceable.
- Operational controls that evaluate, observe, approve, and recover work.
The first useful system is usually modest: one source, one entity, one question, one agent or workflow, and a trace that a person can review. The platform scales from that foundation without requiring the first version to become a collection of unconnected prompts and scripts.
