Resource limits

Codex is a local process. Availability and throughput depend on the selected authentication, model, machine, repository, and configured MCP servers. The SDK exposes usage on turn.completed events when the CLI provides it.

Avoid unbounded concurrent threads, set host-level process timeouts, and stream long turns so your application can report progress. Treat a failed turn or provider response as retryable only after inspecting its error and any changes already made.
